Job description

This award winning Hotel and resort in St Ives Cornwall, is looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join their new brigade.

They are a family Resort set in a 72 acre Estate overlooking the fishing village of St Ives. Busy all year round, they cater for our Hotel guests, Weddings and events, Proms, and Christmas parties to name a few.

The job role is as follows:

CHEF DE PARTIE

Under the general guidance and supervision of the Executive Head Chef, the Chef de Partie will assist in the Preparation and service all sections in the Kitchen.

It is anticipated that the position of Chef de Partie will be undertaken over five working days out of seven and that the minimum hours of work will be 40 within each working week. A flexible approach to work is required as the Company operates a variety of shift patterns to suit the needs and demands of the business as well as the operational; efficiency of the kitchen. Additional hours of work and days of availability may be required during peak times and to cover staff shortage or sickness.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the Executive Head Chef and Head Chef to maintain high standards in the quality of food both as to its preparation and its presentation
  • Work in all areas of the Kitchen depending on the daily needs of the Executive Head Chef
  • Ensure that at all times food items for the Restaurant are prepared on time and meet both quality and quantity standards
  • Observe all Company Food Hygiene and Health & Safety Policy
  • Ensure freshness and suitability of products used by the section and that they are stored
  • Maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas, including refrigerators and freezers
  • Establish and maintain effective employee relations.

Job Type: It is a Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £27,000.00 per year with no live in at this time
