Job summary

Chartwells in Cambridge is seeking an ambitious chef to prepare delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers in a fast-paced kitchen.

You will oversee menu changes, identify opportunities to improve our food services, listen to customer feedback, support new menus and concepts, and help maintain hygiene and inventory while upholding the Chartwells brand.

Qualifications

• Hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Food Hygiene certificate required.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Experience in a chef role.
• Flexible approach to working.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve our food services.
• Listening and acting on customer feedback to improve our food services.
• Supporting with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts.
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.

• Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
• Have experience supervising a team
• Have experience in a similar Chef role
• Hold a Food Hygiene certificate
• Have a flexible approach to working
