The Merchant Hotel - Chef de Partie

The 5* Merchant Hotel in Belfast is a harmonious blend of Victorian grandeur and Art Deco inspired sleek modernity. Situated in the heart of Belfast city centre's historic Cathedral Quarter, the grandeur of the original Grade A listed building is complemented by an elegant Art Deco inspired wing with a multitude of exciting amenities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and passionate Chef de Partie.Reporting to the Head Chef, you will maintain the high 5* standards of quality of food, high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness in all areas of the kitchen.

There is a very talented brigade of chefs preparing award winning cuisine. Everything is made from the finest fresh, seasonal produce and the standards are incredibly high. Due to our continued success and popularity, this is a very busy kitchen.

This position includes evenings and weekend’s shifts.

The essential criteria for this position is:

• At least 1 years’ experiencein a similar level role
• Fully flexible as this role includes evening and weekend shifts

The desirable criteria for this position is:

• Have completed, or be completing, an NVQ Level 2 in a kitchen/food related discipline
