Overview

Job summary

This role as a Chef de Partie at Avery Healthcare in Sunninghill offers an opportunity to work for a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading a culinary team that provides high-quality, nutritionally balanced meals for the residents.

Responsibilities
  • As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious food and beverages to a high standard, as directed by the Head Chef. You will also be involved in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss and agree on catering functions across the home, and to address any special needs or dietary requirements of the residents.
  • Support cost-effective stock control systems to minimize waste and ensure these are in place.
  • Work with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu on a regular basis.

  • Hold a catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ or equivalent.
  • Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Have a minimum of 1-year catering experience.
  • Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality culinary services to residents.
  • Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
