As a Chef de Partie at The Macallan Estate, this role will collaborate closely with the Sous Chef to uphold 5-star service standards and ensure the delivery of top-quality cuisine. Joining a dynamic kitchen team with extensive experience in multiple Michelin-starred establishments, the CDP position requires established skills, a profound enthusiasm for crafting, cooking, and presenting exquisite dishes within a specialised section. The role demands diligence and the ability to operate autonomously, without supervision.

Make an Impact

  • Collaborate closely with the Sous Chef to maintain consistent 5-star service standards and ensure high-quality food preparation
  • Demonstrate expertise in specialised culinary techniques within the assigned section
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Monitor portion control and waste reduction
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility
  • Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations
  • Take initiative to address any issues or challenges during service
  • Contribute to menu development and innovation under senior kitchen staff guidance
  • Oversee the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards
  • Ensure full compliance with all food hygiene and health and safety regulations, including HACCP, COSHH, and other distillery-related due diligence and controls

Your Talent and Skills

To succeed in this role, you should have previous experience in a similar position, demonstrating solid culinary skills and knowledge. You must be capable of working independently and producing exceptional quality food. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for seamless collaboration with kitchen and front-of-house teams, along with effective communication with management. A thorough understanding of safe food handling practices and food rotation procedures to maintain freshness and quality is required. A personable, professional demeanor and a welcoming attitude are important, as well as effective problem-solving skills to resolve challenges quickly in a fast-paced environment.
