The Peninsula London is delighted to announce that we are seeking a Chef de Cuisine to join our Culinary Team. This position is critical to the guest experience, providing a high-quality menu in partnership with exceptional service within the hotel lobby. Role Overview

The Chef de Cuisine - The Lobby Restaurant will lead a team of 15+ chefs across busy breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and coach the culinary team, overseeing scheduling, delegation, and supervision of service while championing the Peninsula culture.
  2. Maintain effective communication across all kitchen sections and with other departments.
  3. Assist the Executive Chef in menu development and ensure procurement of high-quality ingredients.
  4. Manage costs and ensure adherence to control policies and procedures.
  5. Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental hygiene.
  6. Hire, develop, motivate, supervise, and coach department staff.
Candidate Requirements
  1. Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant (pre-opening experience is highly desirable).
  2. Organized and creative mindset.
  3. Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams.
  4. Fluent in English with excellent presentation skills.
  5. Extensive culinary knowledge of both classical and current trends, with financial acumen including budgeting.
