Redwood House Care Home is seeking a passionate Chef/Cook to join our friendly team, dedicated to providing high-quality care and meals for our residents. The role involves preparing nutritious, fresh meals, catering to dietary needs, supervising kitchen staff, and maintaining hygiene standards.

Contracted hours: 30

Candidate qualities include:
  • Passion for quality meal preparation from fresh ingredients
  • Commitment to resident care and satisfaction
  • Ability to prepare home-baked goods and desserts daily
  • Experience in healthcare settings is preferred but not essential; training provided
Daily duties:
  • Providing wholesome, nutritious meals following a rotating menu
  • Catering for dietary requirements such as modified textures, religious preferences, and medical needs
  • Maintaining temperature records, cleaning schedules, and food safety standards
  • Minimizing waste and adhering to policies
  • Supervising kitchen assistants, managing stock and ensuring cleanliness
