Job Description

Brookdale Nursing Home is looking for a Chef/Cook to join our friendly and dedicated team who share our values and commitment to our residents.

Requirements
  • Passion for producing high-quality meals from fresh ingredients
  • Commitment to providing the quality of care our residents deserve
  • Ability to prepare home-baked cakes and desserts daily; experience in healthcare is preferred but not essential (training provided)
Responsibilities
  • Prepare wholesome, nutritious meals following a four-week rotating menu
  • Cater to special dietary requirements (e.g., modified textures, religious preferences, diabetes, etc.)
  • Maintain temperature records, cleaning rotas, and food safety standards
  • Minimize waste and follow company policies
  • Supervise kitchen staff, manage stock and kitchen operations
  • Keep the kitchen area clean and tidy
