Shifts: 10AM–4PM or 4PM–10PM, 5 days a week Pay: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) – budget-friendly but with growth potential
We’re looking for a passionate and reliable chef or experienced cook to join our small, growing team at Plated Café & Grill – a fresh and flexible street food-style concept based inside the buzzing Padel Social Club. The vibe is laid-back but the food is bold, vibrant, and delicious.
This role is ideal for someone who’s confident running a small kitchen independently, thrives under pressure, and genuinely enjoys creating food that people love.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Running day-to-day kitchen service for a small, set café menu (think wraps, salads, bowls, street food twists)
Prepping and delivering for events/pop-ups (menus vary depending on the brief)
Maintaining stock levels, checking deliveries, and managing waste
Keeping the kitchen spotless and up to EHO standards
Working with front of house to ensure smooth service
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Has previous experience in a kitchen setting (street food, casual dining, or events a bonus!)
Is comfortable working solo – you’ll often be the only one in the kitchen during quieter shifts
Can follow set menus and also suggest tweaks and specials to keep things exciting
Cares about consistency, cleanliness, and speed
Is positive, solution-focused, and up for a challenge
Could This Be You?
Do you like the idea of taking ownership of a kitchen – but without the late-night finishes?
Are you looking for a role where you’re trusted to get on with it, but still supported by a friendly team?
Would you enjoy cooking for a mix of sporty locals, creative events, and community pop-ups?
Are you happy to pitch in with occasional bigger events (weekends/evenings) when things get exciting?
This is more than just a job – it’s an opportunity to be part of a food business that’s still shaping its identity. Your input will matter, and there’s room to grow with us. If you’re someone who wants a creative but structured kitchen role, can balance quality with speed, and doesn’t mind getting your hands dirty, we’d love to hear from you.
