Summary of Position:

We are seeking a ‘first class’ Cook Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will have culinary and management experience, responsible for kitchen functions including ordering supplies, food preparation, maintaining quality standards, sanitation, cleanliness, and supervising staff.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Support preparation, cooking, and serving of meals and snacks, accommodating residents’ dietary needs (e.g., diabetics, texture-modified food, vegetarian)
  • Manage stock and order supplies
  • Plan menus
  • Maintain food safety checks and records as per company standards
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Follow health and safety regulations
  • Keep equipment and food service areas clean and functional
  • Collaborate with Activities Team for special events
  • Supervise staff and complete employee reviews timely
  • Previous experience in a care setting
  • Qualifications in catering and food safety/hygiene
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and team spirit
  • Adherence to food safety standards

General duties:

  • Participate in staff meetings
