Location: Norwich, Norfolk

Meridian Business Support is currently recruiting for a Chef for a National Private Care Provider.

About the role:

As a Chef, you will be responsible for planning and providing daily nutritious meals for residents, ensuring all food purchased is fresh and within budget. You will also ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. The role requires a team player who can inspire and motivate the team.

Work days can be negotiated but will include working alternate weekends.

Skills and attributes:
  • Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in healthcare or hospitality.
  • Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various techniques.
  • Understanding of nutrition and menu development to meet dietary needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management and ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Experience in training and supervising kitchen staff.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Education and qualifications:
  • Food Hygiene Certified Level 2, with willingness to work towards Intermediate Food Hygiene qualifications.
  • First Aid Certified.
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Food Preparation/Catering.
