Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a passionate Bank Chef to support our kitchens with fresh, seasonal menus and flexible hours.

In this casual, part-time role you will assist the Head Chef, help deliver nutritious meals to residents, and help maintain high standards of HACCP and food safety. You’ll work across homes with a warm, collaborative kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Personable and warm approach with genuine interest in residents’ wellbeing.
• Holds City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent.
• Experience in leading and inspiring a team.
• Good understanding of nutrition.
• Experience with fresh seasonal food.
• Ability to create a warm, welcoming environment within the home.
• Solid understanding of HACCP.

• Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.

Job description

Bank 0hrs Flexible contract to cover annual leave and sickness and gaps in rotas.

Are you a qualified chef looking to work with fresh seasonal food, with the opportunity to have more of a work life balance and make what you do matter?

This is a casual, part-time role offering flexible working. Working as a Bank Chef at Barchester, you will have the chance to deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks. You will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well balanced menus whilst working with residents to tailor menus around them. NEED TO HAVE
