Job description

This is a temporary Chef role at Barchester Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider in the UK. The successful candidate will have the chance to deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks, working with fresh seasonal food to create nutritious and well-balanced menus for residents. Main duties of the job

As a Bank Chef at Barchester, you will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced menus while working with residents to tailor menus around their preferences. You will help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes, and contribute to a warm, efficient and fun environment. The role also involves working within budget, completing regular audits, managing stock control, and assisting in leading and motivating the team.

Qualifications
  • You will need to hold a City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification, have experience in helping lead and inspire a team, a good understanding of nutrition and experience of working with fresh seasonal food, as well as the ability to create a warm and welcoming environment and a good understanding of HACCP.
