Job description

The job posting is for a temporary Chef position at Barchester Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider in the UK. The role involves working in the kitchen of a healthcare facility, creating nutritious and flavorful meals for the residents. The candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations and work with fresh, seasonal ingredients to deliver high-quality hospitality services.

Main duties of the job

The chef will be responsible for helping to manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, working with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes cooked to the highest standards. They will also be expected to help create a warm, efficient, and fun environment, work within budget, complete regular audits, manage stock control, and assist in leading and motivating a team.

NEED TO HAVE

  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent.

  • Experience of working with fresh seasonal food.
  • The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home.
  • Good understanding of HACCP.

Qualifications
