Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy in Winchester is seeking a Chef or Chef de Partie for an all-year-round school catering operation. You will join a busy kitchen delivering high standards of food and service across a catering operation serving up to 400 covers.

You will prepare and serve food to a high standard, support the kitchen team, maintain food hygiene, and follow allergen procedures. Shifts rotate: 07:30-14:30, 10:00-18:00, 11:30-19:00, plus weekends on a 1 in 3 basis.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef or Chef de Partie
• Enhanced DBS issued within the last 3 months or registered on the Update Service
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety
• Available Monday to Friday with 1 in 3 weekends
• Able to drive due to the location
• Flexible approach to the rotating shift pattern

What we’re looking for

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar catering environment and be confident working as part of a busy team.

• Previous experience as a Chef or Chef de Partie
• Enhanced DBS issued within the last 3 months or registered on the Update Service
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety
• Available Monday to Friday with 1 in 3 weekends
• Able to drive due to the location
• Flexible approach to the rotating shift pattern

The Monday to Friday shifts rotate weekly between 07:30-14:30, 10:00-18:00 and 11:30-19:00. Weekend shifts are 10:00-18:30.
