BCG is seeking a Chef to lead the kitchen at a care home, delivering nutritious meals and high-quality service to residents. You will manage stock, design menus within budget, and ensure the kitchen operates to a high standard of cleanliness and safety.

Ideal candidates have commercial kitchen experience; SVQ/NVQ Level 2, Level 3 Food Hygiene, and PVG clearance are preferred. This role offers pension, discounts, wellbeing support, and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen environment is required, ideally within a care home.
• Reliable and fully competent in all kitchen duties, including catering for special dietary needs.
• PVG check and right to work in the UK will be required.

Responsabilités

As Chef, you will lead the kitchen team to serve delicious, well-balanced, and nutritious meals that our residents will love. You'll provide high-quality food service to support residents, responding to their needs and contributing to their overall positive experience in our care.

From managing food stock and designing menus to making the most of your budget, you’ll always have resident well-being in mind. You will ensure the Kitchen is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in line with EHO regulations.

About you:

You will strive to deliver person-centred hospitality to the highest standards. Experience in a commercial kitchen environment is required, ideally within a care home setting, but this is not essential. You must be reliable and fully competent in all aspects of kitchen duties, including catering for special dietary needs, in line with the agreed budget.

Ideally you should have an SVQ/ NVQ level 2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery, a level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate and a good understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points.

Successful candidates are subject to satisfactory references and a PVG check and must be authorised to work in the UK.
