Job summary

Amica Care Trust is recruiting for Exmouth House, our care home in Devon, to join a dedicated catering team preparing nutritious meals that support residents’ health and wellbeing.

You’ll work to high hygiene standards, help with menu development and celebrate seasonal events, delivering meals residents look forward to in a caring, home-from-home environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef or Cook at a care/hospitality setting.
• Catering qualification: NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2 or above.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 3 desirable).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals tailored to residents' needs and preferences.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation.
• Support menu development, seasonal events and special occasions.

The Role

Working as part of our catering team, you'll prepare and cook delicious, nutritious meals tailored to residents' individual needs and preferences, while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation.

You'll support menu development, seasonal events and special occasions, helping to ensure every mealtime is something residents look forward to.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience as a Chef or Cook
• Holds a catering qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2 or above)
• Has a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 3 desirable)
• Takes pride in producing quality food
• Enjoys working as part of a team
• Has a caring, customer-focused approach

Experience within care or healthcare is welcome but not essential.
