Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for highly motivated enthusiastic Chef within our Catering Department at Halton Hospital. The successful candidate should have experience in large scale catering environment and excellent communications skills. The ability to work to a high standard is essential. Enthusiasm and flexibility are required, and a good knowledge of food hygiene is essential.
Main duties of the jobYou would be part of a small friendly catering team. We pride ourselves on providing a high-quality service to the staff patients and visitors. You also get excellent training opportunities working for the Trust.
The postholder will be responsible for carrying out the preparation of meals for patients, staff and visitors, ensuring that high standards of quality and food safety are maintained.
To carry out all duties in accordance with the Food Safety Act 1990 and the Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995 and any subsequent Food safety Legislation.
Reporting any equipment faults or health and Safety issues to the Manager as and when they may arise. To adhere to Trust Policies.
