Job summary

Adecco is recruiting two experienced Chefs for a three-month temporary assignment in Lincoln City Centre. The roles involve preparing and cooking meals using fresh ingredients in a busy catering environment with a Monday to Friday, daytime schedule and an immediate start in September.

The contract runs from 1st September 2026 to 18th December 2026, with hours 7:30am to 3:30pm. Candidates should have previous chef experience in hospitality, strong food hygiene knowledge, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef in catering, restaurant, pub or hospitality.
• Experience in high-volume food preparation and service.
• Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced kitchen and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking high-quality meals using fresh ingredients.
• Maintaining consistent standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.
• Producing large-volume meals through efficient batch cooking methods.
• Catering for dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, halal, and gluten-free options.
• Preparing food for general catering services and conference events.
• Supporting the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with fresh ingredients in a busy catering environment, with the added benefit of a fantastic Monday to Friday, daytime schedule.

Key Responsibilities

As a Chef, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing and cooking high-quality meals using fresh ingredients
• Maintaining consistent standards of food quality, presentation, and taste
• Producing large-volume meals through efficient batch cooking methods
• Catering for a variety of dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, halal, and gluten-free options
• Preparing food for general catering services and conference events
• Supporting the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

What We're Looking For

We are keen to hear from candidates who:

• Have previous chef experience within a catering, restaurant, pub, or hospitality environment
• Have experience in high-volume food preparation and service
• Work well as part of a team and can thrive in a fast-paced kitchen
• Possess a good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
• Are reliable, organised, and able to maintain high standards under pressurePrevious pub experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

• Follow food hygiene and HACCP regulations at all times
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
• Ensure correct food storage, labelling, and temperature control procedures are followed
• Complete all required food safety checks and documentation accurately
