Job Overview
As a Chef, you will work from our Gatwick Unit as an important team member, responsible for preparing and cooking in-flight meals and supporting customer presentations as required. You will work to tight timelines, communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure meals meet specifications and quantities, and maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety. You will also support cooking activities across all our non-airline contracts.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Advising stores and procurement teams on order placement and product quality
- Communicating with the Shift Manager about production or delivery issues
- Preparing aircraft equipment, including washing, sorting, packing, and positioning
- Processing and delivering trolleys to relevant departments
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Educated to GSE or ‘O’ levels
- Basic Food hygiene training/certification (desirable)
- City & Guilds qualification or NVQ Level 2 for a Chef (desirable)
Work Experience:
- Significant experience in volume cooking in hotel, restaurant, or airline environments, working to tight deadlines
Skills & Knowledge:
- Good verbal and written English communication skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Teamwork ability
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
