Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Chef at Chivas Brothers, Kilmalid, Dumbarton. You will prepare, cook and present high-quality meals in a busy contract catering setting, contributing to a smooth service.

The role offers 36 hours per week with an early finish on Fridays, in a permanent full-time position. A Level 2 Food Safety certificate and cookery qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef in a busy kitchen.
• A Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate.
• A professional cookery qualification, such as an NVQ or VRQ.
• Good organisation and teamwork under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to high standards.
• Organise preparation and cooking for high-volume service.
• Work with the catering team to deliver meals on time.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures.
• Support stock rotation, portion control and reduce waste.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen.

Pay: £14.61 per hour
Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift pattern: Monday-Thursday, 06:00-14:30; Friday, 06:00-10:00

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience as a chef, with the ability to handle a busy service.
• A Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate.
• A professional cookery qualification, such as an NVQ or VRQ.
• Good organisation and the ability to prioritise under pressure.
• A positive approach to teamwork and a commitment to quality.
• Experience at a large contract catering site would be an advantage.
