Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd in Cambridge is seeking a Chef de Partie to lead the salad and dessert sections for a 7‑day operation serving around 300 students and staff at a large boarding school.

The role involves cooking for both students and staff, managing a freshly prepared salad bar, and assisting with main course production when needed. 40 hours per week, full time, with permanent contract.

Qualifications

• CDP with experience in fresh salad and dessert preparation.
• Ability to work in a busy school dining operation and maintain high standards.
• Good teamwork and communication with kitchen and service staff.

Responsibilities

• Cook for approx 200 students and 100 staff daily.
• Look after freshly made salad bar and cold/prep sections.
• Assist with main course preparation when free.

Contract: Full Time , Permanent
Salary: 28,000
Hours: 40 per week

An established international boarding school for ages 14+ in the heart of Cambridge. Catering for 300 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of Breakfast, lunch and Dinner. This is a 7 day operation so shift patterns would usually be 5 over 7. There are goo transport links to this location.

We are looking for a CDP that can look after the salad/dessert section

• cooking for approx 200 students and 100 staff
• Looking after freshly made salad bar
• helping out on main course section when free
• shift pattern 10 days on 4 days off.
