About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Chef to join our team at Sodexo. This is a solo chef role , responsiblefor preparing and serving meals and overseeing the general day-to-day kitchenoperations. A Catering Manager is normally present to support the site andcovers broader responsibilities, but the Chef is expected to oversee allkitchen activity when the Manager is on annual leave.

This position suitssomeone who enjoys working independently, is organised, and takes pride indelivering consistent, high-quality food in a professional setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals to a set menu and standard
  • Oversee daily kitchen duties, including food preparation, service, cleaning, and basic stock control
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards are followed at all times
  • Keep the kitchen clean and well organised throughout the day
  • Take full responsibility for kitchen operations when the Catering Manager is on leave

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Chef in a professional kitchen
  • Understanding of food hygiene and health and safety standards
  • Ability to work independently and oversee all kitchen activity when required
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Relevant cookery qualifications are a bonus but not essential
