Job summary

Sodexo Group at Dalton Barracks, Abingdon, OX13 6JB, is seeking a professional chef to join our catering team in a Ministry of Defence environment, preparing high-quality meals for military personnel and supporting major functions.

You will maintain food safety standards, work with front-of-house colleagues, and contribute to bulk cooking and events, delivering consistent, top‑level service in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications

• Professional chef experience in catering or hospitality
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health regulations
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, team-focused environment
• Passion for cooking and delivering top-quality service
• Experience in military or government catering (preferred)
• IOSH qualification or equivalent
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
