Job summary

Choices and Rights Disability Coalition is seeking a dependable Personal Assistant to support a cheerful, non-verbal gentleman in the HU3 area. The role runs with specific morning and late afternoon hours and requires learning his communication methods and safe hoist use.

Training will be provided; DBS check required, and hybrid working options may apply. Responsibilities include personal care, companionship, and light domestic tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable, cheerful and flexible with hours.
• Comfort with supporting a non-verbal gentleman and learning his communication methods.
• Willing to undergo DBS check and safeguarding procedures.
• Based in the HU3 area, with willingness to cover other carers’ holidays/sickness.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care: dressing, washing, toileting and meal assistance; assist with daily living.
• Use hoist safely with full training provided by main carer/mother.
• Domestic tasks: laundry and general cleaning around the home.
• Work under guidance of the main carer to meet specific needs.
