Job Description:

We are a group of companies headquartered in China, specializing in iron ore trading. Our Singapore office is seeking an experienced and driven Chartering Executive to support our shipping operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Vessel sourcing and charter negotiation: Identify suitable vessels, negotiate chartering terms, and manage the signing of charter party agreements.
  • Charter party contract management: Review contractual terms, monitor performance, and handle potential disputes.
  • Shipping operations coordination: Monitor voyage progress, coordinate with relevant parties, and resolve operational or emergency issues.
  • Market intelligence and freight trend analysis: Collect and analyze shipping market data, track freight trends, and anticipate market shifts.
  • Risk control and cost management: Evaluate business efficiency, manage chartering costs, and identify potential risks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in Singapore, preferably in dry bulk chartering.
  • Strong knowledge of the end-to-end chartering process and commercial shipping operations.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin (to liaise with Chinese-speaking counterparts).
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to handle pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Immediate availability or short notice period preferred.
