Join Our Team at AssetSphere – Planning Consultant (Full-Time or Part-Time)

At AssetSphere, we believe property is more than just land and buildings — it’s potential. We’re a forward-thinking, independent property consultancy helping a wide range of clients — from farmers and landowners to corporates and the public sector — unlock that potential.

Established in 2000, our small, dynamic team blends expertise across estate management, environmental consultancy, utilities, architecture, project management, surveying, and planning. We work on everything from agri-environment schemes and renewable energy projects to large-scale residential master planning, educational and commercial builds, and estate diversification.

We’re growing — and we’re looking for a passionate Planning Consultant to join us. Whether you’re looking for a full-time position or part-time flexibility, if you bring experience in planning (particularly rural or public/private sector), and want to work somewhere that values balance, autonomy, and impact, we’d love to hear from you.

? The Role: Planning Consultant

You’ll play a key role in shaping planning strategies for a wide range of rural and commercial projects — from initial concept through to securing consents and delivering results for our clients.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Leading and managing rural planning applications and development projects
  • Building strong client relationships and developing new business opportunities
  • Preparing high-quality planning reports and documentation
  • Providing mentorship and support to junior team members
  • Contributing to business development in the planning sector
  • Ensuring work is carried out sustainably and in line with health & safety standards

? About You

We’re looking for someone who’s:

  • Qualified: BSc/BA and MRTPI or equivalent
  • Experienced: Ideally with a background in rural planning across public and/or private sectors
  • Independent but collaborative: Comfortable working solo and with a close-knit team
  • Client-focused: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident in presentations and relationship-building
  • Organised and proactive: You thrive on variety, challenge, and seeing projects through

? Why Work With Us?

At AssetSphere, we do things differently. We believe the best work happens when people feel trusted, supported, and empowered. That’s why we offer:

  • Flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle
  • Hybrid working options
  • 24 days holiday plus your birthday off
  • Private medical insurance & life assurance after 12 months
  • A relaxed, social work environment with a friendly team and neighbouring businesses

We're committed to sustainability and wellbeing, and we support each other — whether that’s through shared goals, coffee breaks, or a quick check-in.

AssetSphere is proud to be an equal opportunities employer.

We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
