Responsibilities

  • Recommending solutions for health and safety to ensure safe and secure working environments.
  • Providing advice on construction technology of buildings and materials.
  • Negotiating and agreeing terms for acquisition/disposal of property, standard building contracts, and liaising with legal advisers.
  • Managing instructions from engagement to completion (consultancy).
  • Undertaking building surveys and providing advice and recommendations.
  • Preparing designs and specifications from outline to completion of the design and specification process.
  • Administering contracts: running administrative procedures, issuing instructions, managing payments, variations, completion, possession and certificates.
  • Valuating and appraising land and property, preparing capital and rental valuations and client reports.
  • Negotiating solutions for land, property and planning law issues.
  • Conducting inspections and measurements of land and property, preparing related reports, using appropriate instrumentation.
  • Advising on tendering and procurement, managing tendering processes.
  • Quantifying, costing and cost‑planning complex construction works.
  • Managing efficiencies of construction contracts, life‑cycle costing, value engineering, data, reports and forecasts.

  • Graduate with a BSc (Hons) Construction Management degree and qualification as a Chartered Surveyor with RICS
