Job Description:

We are seeking a Chartered Structural Engineer for our rapidly expanding client to work across the UK. The Structural Design Engineer will be based in Warrington with some home working. Responsibilities include Structural Inspections, surveys, and Design work.

The Senior Structural Engineer should have extensive experience in structural design and surveys. This role is ideal for a Senior Structural Engineer passionate about structural engineering and new technologies, looking to lead the regional design team. The company will support the Engineer to become chartered if not already and to advance their career as the company grows.

Overview:
  • Dual role in Design and Surveying
  • Inspecting buildings and structures; preparing digital reports
  • Preparing specifications for remedial works
  • Providing technical support for insurance claims
  • Site visits for residential and commercial projects using digital tech
  • Delivering small to medium design projects
  • Calculating designs for insurance claims related to subsidence, fire, impact, flooding, and storm damage
  • Reporting to the Managing Director and providing progress updates
  • Innovating to shape the future of the business
Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering (1+ years or higher)
  • Experience in structural surveys and design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, TEDDS, and IT systems
  • Knowledge of building materials including steel, masonry, concrete, timber
  • Membership with MICE or MIStructE or close to achieving
  • Passion for new technologies and continuous improvement
  • Car owner, UK driving license, able to travel to sites
