Are you a Chartered Transport Planner looking for a new role? This opportunity allows you to develop the Transport Planning team in Manchester and work on exciting projects across the Northwest.

This position involves building relationships with internal and external clients to secure work, in collaboration with the Associate Transport Planner to develop the team.

The role:

• Undertaking and developing Site Access Appraisals
• Preparing Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Design and Access Statements, and contributing to Environmental Assessments and Travel Plans
• Developing concept designs for highways schemes, including access and junction improvements
• Mentoring junior team members
• Developing client relationships
• Producing fee proposals
• Supporting associates in seeking new opportunities
• Resourcing, financial monitoring, and reporting

What you need to succeed:

• Proven experience in a Transport Planning consultancy, with confidence presenting ideas to clients
• Chartered Transport Planning Professional or Chartered Engineer certification by the Engineering Council
• Strong practical knowledge of LinSig, Junctions 9, and preferably TRACC or similar tools
• Understanding of relevant local and national policies and guidance
• Organized, detail-oriented, and methodical
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Pragmatic problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels
• Ability to manage client expectations
