Due to increasing workload, RPS, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking to recruit Chartered Civil Engineers/Senior Civil Engineers to join our Highways and Transport team in Belfast. The role is based in Belfast but may require travel across the UK and Ireland.

The Highways & Transportation team at RPS has been involved in some of the UK and Ireland’s most prestigious developments, including Titanic Quarter, Dublin Port projects, Holyhead Port redevelopment, and various masterplan and roadworks projects across Ireland and the UK.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Managing civil engineering projects, including housing and building developments.
  • Managing workload and team members.
  • Liaising with design and project management teams to deliver effective client services.
  • Traveling between RPS offices in NI and UK as needed.
  • Business development and preparing marketing submissions.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical and non-technical reports.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Experience in civil engineering projects, especially highways and drainage.
  • Transportation experience is advantageous.
  • Experience working with UK and ROI clients.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civils 3D is preferred.
  • Experience with project management software (MS Project) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of contract administration, BoQs, and NEC 3/4 is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team with a strong work ethic.
  • Full driving license.

Qualifications

  • MEng/BEng or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Chartered membership or near Chartered status (ICE, IEI, CILT, or equivalent) is advantageous.
