Peace Recruitment is proud to be working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary private practice as they look to appoint a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to join their growing team in Glasgow.

You'll be involved in a diverse mix of projects, covering both residential and commercial buildings across all forms of construction. It’s a hands-on role where no two days are the same – ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, client-facing environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Conduct acquisition surveys, condition reports, defect investigations, and measured surveys
  • Provide advice on the design, construction, maintenance, and refurbishment of buildings Prepare schedules of work, technical specifications, and detailed reports
  • Deliver and manage high-value projects under recognised building contracts
  • Lead on party wall matters, building regs, planning,
  • CDM and health & safety compliance
  • Help win work through quality delivery and representing the business professionally

What we’re looking for:

  • MRICS qualified
  • Strong experience in contract administration, insurance reinstatement, and project delivery
  • Comfortable running large-scale jobs independently
  • Solid understanding of party wall legislation,
  • CDM Regs (2015), building regs, and planning
  • Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
  • Team player with a proactive and flexible attitude
