Job summary

The National Trust is seeking a Rural Surveyor to deliver professional services across Hampshire, South Downs and Isle of Wight. Based at the Micheldever Hub, you will join an Estate Management team to manage rural assets, balancing environmental, social and financial aims.

Hybrid working with site visits and office time is expected. You will handle lettings, tenancies, agri-environment schemes, and land management projects, applying technical expertise for practical, sustainable solutions while

Qualifications

• RICS membership required.
• Knowledge of land use, agriculture, asset management, and conservation.
• Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation.
• Ability to analyse rural surveying problems and propose solutions.
• Experience working in structured project teams.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day estate management and help shape the future of land and assets.
• Engage in commercial lettings, agricultural tenancies and agri-environment schemes.
• Assist with woodland creation, boundary matters, and easements.
• Advise within a governance framework and build relationships with tenants.
• Collaborate across estates in Hampshire, South Downs and Isle of Wight.
