Energy Jobline ZR in Birmingham seeks an experienced cost consultant to independently manage cost consultancy commissions from feasibility through final account, advising clients on procurement, commercial strategy and contract administration.

The role covers pre- and post-contract cost management, procurement guidance, value engineering and assessment of commercial risk across projects. Hybrid working, structured development and clear career progression are offered.

Qualifications

• Chartered MRICS status.
• Experience administering JCT construction contracts.
• Established pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying experience.
• Experience across property or construction sectors.
• Consultancy or transferable contractor-side experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-contract and post-contract cost management commissions.
• Advise clients on procurement strategy, value engineering and commercial risk.
• Administer JCT contracts including valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, cashflow and financial reporting.
• Deliver commercial advice across new-build, refurbishment, fit-out, recladding and reinstatement projects.
