Job summary

Proftech Talent is seeking an experienced Principal Process Engineer to join an established engineering design consultancy serving UK water and utilities sectors. The role requires Chartered or near-Chartered status with strong process design experience in the regulated water industry.

Lead process design across water and wastewater projects, guiding multidisciplinary teams and ensuring client, regulatory, and technical standards are met.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' process design experience within the regulated water industry.
• Extensive knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and plant design.
• Experience delivering process design for water and/or wastewater projects.
• Chartered Engineer status and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across projects and own process design.
• Review and approve design deliverables, reports, and calculations.
• Mentor engineers and graduates, directing multidisciplinary teams.
• Support tender submissions and technical proposals.
