Job summary

Lead Careers are working with an established landscape architecture and urban design studio in Newcastle, seeking a Chartered Landscape Architect to join the team. You will own projects from concept to completion, work across public realm, residential, education and healthcare sectors, and contribute to masterplans and technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
• Strong background in landscape design within a consultancy environment.
• Confident managing projects independently from start to finish, with the experience to make an immediate contribution.
• A creative eye for design backed up by strong technical knowledge.
• Experience delivering projects through different RIBA stages.
• Confident working with clients and other design professionals.
• Comfortable using AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of landscape projects from initial concepts through to detailed design and completion.
• Creating imaginative landscape designs, masterplans and technical drawing packages.
• Producing hard and soft landscape plans, specifications and construction details.
• Working closely with clients, architects and other consultants.
• Managing project programmes, deadlines and deliverables.
• Supporting and mentoring more junior landscape architects.
• Getting involved in client meetings, design workshops and site visits.
