wastewater projects for major water utility clients.

As a
Civil Engineer, you will deliver a varied portfolio of work for clients including Anglian, Southern, Severn Trent, and Thames. Projects range from strategic studies and feasibility exercises to detailed design and construction, including initiatives like Thames Water’s £3.5 billion SESRO project and Anglian’s £350 million Cambridge Waste Water Treatment Plant Relocation.

About the RoleYou will organize and undertake civil engineering activities within multi-disciplinary teams, potentially mentoring junior engineers. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting strategic studies, feasibility work, and designing water utilities projects, including water and wastewater treatment, conveyance, and dam safety.
- Producing calculations and reports to support designs.
- Engaging directly with clients to understand needs and develop solutions.
- Creating business cases and proposals for project funding.
- Collaborating with construction partners to enhance safety and understand construction processes.
- Ensuring designs consider buildability, sustainability, H&S, and environmental standards.
About You- Approaching or at Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with the ICE or equivalent.
- Experience in the water sector is not essential; transferable technical skills are valued.
- Desire to mentor and support junior engineers towards Chartered or Incorporated status.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated team player.
