Chartered Fire Engineer (CEng)

As an experienced Chartered Fire Engineer in our fire engineering and consultancy team, you will act as a Service specialist, developing the team and Service offerings to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality fire safety advice.

You will contribute to leading the delivery, development, and growth of Fire Engineering and Consultancy Services, including fire strategies and solutions.

You will review PAS9980 FRAEW assessments and provide CEng sign-off for complex assessments over 18m buildings where required.

As a leader, you will uphold and promote the company culture and behaviors within the team and across other teams.

The role also involves developing fire engineers and consultants through mentorship and ensuring the delivery of professional, exceptional, and technically competent services to clients.

• Overseeing the delivery of fire consultancy and engineering services with the Head of Fire Consultancy, maintaining high performance and providing support to Principle Consultants/Engineers.
• Supporting sustainable service growth, statutory compliance, client and staff retention, and developing our client base.
• Creating and improving reporting templates, survey methodologies, and project management tasks.
• Determining resource needs, scheduling workforce, and reporting on performance, risks, and opportunities to leadership.
• Contributing to Fire Division CPD events and supporting colleague development.

• Memberships such as MiFireE and other relevant fire and structural memberships.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in fire consultancy, with sound knowledge of fire safety strategies and engineering solutions.

Working arrangements

We promote flexible, smarter working practices, including remote work from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with an hour for lunch.
