This is a Associate Director appointment is to join our Milton Keynes financial planning team and contribute towards our stretching growth plans. You will be part of a team of 6 planners and associated support staff. Whilst the team have a significant number of existing client to deliver a high-quality service to, the main focus of the role will be to provide a local market presence and to focus on winning new clients.

The goal is to lead the growth from new clients form external and internally made contacts in our Milton Keynes business in alignment with the firms strategic growth plan. A big part of this will be to increase the profile of Financial Planning at Forvis Mazars within Mazars LLP and the wider business and professional community and to contribute in the development of Forvis Mazars Private Client services.

About the role

  • Bring or develop a presence in the local market place and have a plan in how to win new clients.
  • Comply with the Training and Competence Scheme of Forvis Mazars Financial Planning.
  • Management of a portfolio of existing financial planning clients, ensuring that planning opportunities are identified and, where appropriate, pursued
  • Provide appropriate financial planning advice to Forvis Mazars LLP and externally referred clients.
  • Collaborate on the growth of the Milton Keynes business alongside the Forvis Mazars LLP wider business
  • Continuous development of relationships with ForvisMazars LLP staff and partners
  • Increase the level of Forvis Mazars LLP client penetration by ForvisMazars Financial Planning.
  • Maintain an up-to-date technical knowledge of personal tax and financial planning and related matters

What are we looking for?

  • Diploma qualified as a minimum, ideally Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Planner
  • Holds strong financial planning experience
  • Team player with excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Evidence of l an ability to generate new work from new client found externally to an existing client book.
  • Adaptable, organised with a commercial approach
  • Ability to exercise judgement and work without close supervision
  • Ability to proactively manage existing client relationships and to develop new relationships
