Job summary

IES Utilities Group LTD is seeking a Chartered Civil Engineer to lead design, review, and delivery of civil solutions for utility and infrastructure projects across the UK. You will govern Temporary Works and provide technical leadership across multiple projects.

The role requires mentoring junior engineers, ensuring compliance with CDM and industry standards, and collaborating with operations, commercial, and project teams to meet client needs during concept through to completion.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure sectors.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
  • Experience delivering complex civil engineering projects from concept to completion.
  • Knowledge of UK codes, standards and CDM Regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering solutions for utility and infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee production, review, and control of site Temporary Works designs and documentation.
  • Provide technical governance and assurance for Temporary Works in line with BS 5975.
  • Act as Temporary Works Coordinator or support TW Coordinators as required.
  • Coordinate with other design teams and stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Mentor graduates and junior engineers to develop engineering standards.
