Job summary

IES Utilities Group Ltd. is seeking a Chartered Civil Engineer to lead the design, review, and delivery of temporary works and civil solutions for utility and infrastructure projects across the UK.

You will provide technical leadership, governance, and engineering assurance from concept through to completion, with travel to the Manchester Head Office. The role demands strong stakeholder engagement, mentoring of graduate engineers, and adherence to CDM, BS 5975, and client specifications.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within civil engineering, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven track record delivering complex civil engineering projects from concept through to completion.
• Experience working on utility infrastructure, energy, highways, water, power, or related projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and technical governance of civil engineering solutions for utility and infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate the production and control of site Temporary Works designs and related documentation.
• Provide engineering assurance and oversee Temporary Works activities per BS 5975 and company procedures.
• Mentor graduates and junior engineers, supporting professional development.
