Job summary

C7 Surveyors is seeking experienced MRICS or FRICS Chartered Building Surveyors to join our established team of independent expert witnesses working on residential housing condition and disrepair across England and Wales. The role is self-employed / sub-consultant with flexible workload and the option to combine with other commitments.

Inspect properties, prepare expert witness reports, and provide clear, evidence-led opinions.

Qualifications

MRICS or FRICS Chartered Building Surveyor status is required.
A minimum of three years' post-qualification experience.
Experience inspecting residential property and diagnosing building defects.
Sound understanding of building pathology.
Strong written communication and analytical skills.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Knowledge of housing disrepair or expert witness work is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Inspect residential properties and prepare expert witness reports on housing condition, defects and disrepair.
Work with in-house operations team to focus on inspection, analysis and independent professional opinions.
Engage as independent sub-consultants with flexible workload and fixed-fee per instruction.
