London's built environment sector is under sustained pressure to deliver, from major regeneration schemes to compliance-driven retrofits. This role sits within an established Property & Construction leader, an enterprise-scale organisation with 250+ staff and a track record on large, complex projects across the capital. They've built structured career paths and clear frameworks, which matters if you want to know where you stand and where you're headed.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
  • Carrying out building surveys, condition reports and defect diagnosis across a varied portfolio of commercial and residential assets in London
  • Managing dilapidations claims from instruction through to settlement, acting for landlords and tenants
  • Preparing schedules of condition, planned preventative maintenance plans and party wall awards
  • Overseeing contract administration on refurbishment and repair projects, including tendering and cost control
  • Advising clients on building pathology, regulatory compliance and dilapidations strategy
  • Liaising with contractors, architects and engineers to keep projects on programme and within budget
Here are the skills you’ll need:
  • MRICS qualification (or close to chartership), with a genuine grounding in building surveying practice
  • Solid experience across dilapidations, contract administration and defect analysis
  • Working knowledge of building regulations, party wall matters and JCT contracts
  • Strong report writing skills. Clients need clarity, not jargon
  • Confidence managing your own caseload while knowing when to escape
  • A collaborative approach. You'll work alongside architects, engineers and project managers regularly
Key perks and benefits:
  • £36,500 to £54,500, depending on experience

  • Private medical and dental insurance
  • Enhanced pension scheme and performance-based bonuses
  • A comprehensive benefits package built for long-term careers, not just this year
