Job description

A leading firm is seeking a motivated Charity Solicitor, with 5+ PQE, to join their Private Client Team, with flexibility to work from multiple locations. This is an excellent chance for a solicitor with passion and ambition to advance their career, develop strong client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the firm’s charity practice.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and registering charitable entities

  • Advising charity trustees on their roles, responsibilities, and powers

  • Guiding on charity mergers and asset transfers

  • Drafting policies and key charity documentation

  • Managing the closure and de-registration of charities

  • Collaborating with property and employment teams on charity-related issues

  • Liaising with the Charity Commission

  • Advising on regulatory matters within the charity sector

  • Delivering exceptional client service in partnership with team members

  • Participating in business development and networking initiatives

  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff members


About You:

  • Proven experience working with charities of varying sizes

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment with appropriate levels of supervision depending on the transaction

  • Strong understanding of relevant legal principles and their practical application

  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

  • Approachable and skilled at building effective relationships with clients and colleagues

  • Proactive and willing to go the extra mile
