A national Islamic community-focused charity is seeking a strategic Charity Manager to lead operations and drive growth. Charity Manager – National Islamic Community-Focused Charity Location: Remote (with travel to London) Salary: £45,000 per annum Contract: Three-year fixed term (with potential for renewal) Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (some evenings and weekends required) Benefits: 30 days annual leave including bank holidays and 2 days for Eid

We are currently seeking a proactive and strategic Charity Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and lead the charity into its next phase of growth and impact.
The Role This is a pivotal leadership role working closely with the Board of Trustees to deliver on the charity’s strategic goals. The Charity Manager will manage a small but growing team, enhance operational systems, and strengthen internal processes to support a thriving and sustainable organisation.
The role involves strategic planning, staff development, stakeholder engagement, and oversight of compliance, HR, and fundraising. You’ll also represent the charity externally, helping to build meaningful partnerships that align with the charity’s mission and long-term vision.
Who We're Looking For You will be an experienced and values-driven leader with a strong background in charity operations. You’ll bring a strategic mindset and a collaborative leadership style, along with the ability to manage diverse projects and remote teams.
Ideally, you’ll have experience working with underrepresented or faith-based communities, and be confident representing the organisation at public events, forums, and in partnership settings. A passion for community-led change and social justice is essential.
Key Requirements Demonstrated experience in charity operations or organisational management
Sound understanding of governance, charity legislation, GDPR, and risk management
Proven leadership capabilities with a focus on team development and culture
Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Knowledge of community-based initiatives and underrepresented groups in the UK
Familiarity with grant making, fundraising, and reporting requirements
Ability to manage remote working environments and foster collaboration
