Job summary

Prospectus is supporting an arts charity in its search for a part‑time Finance Manager. The role is two days per week, based at the London office, with hybrid arrangements and an FTE‑equivalent salary of £45,000–£48,000.

You will lead day‑to‑day financial operations, ensure robust controls, and provide clear financial reporting to trustees and senior leaders. Experience in charity finance and familiarity with Charity SORP is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial management, budgeting, forecasting and year‑end processes.
• Sound understanding of charity finance and Charity SORP.
• Experience with payroll, pensions, PAYE and financial compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day‑to‑day financial management of the organisation.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable and maintain strong controls.
• Oversee payroll, pensions, PAYE and reconciliations.
• Produce forecasts, management accounts and budget reports.
• Monitor cash flow and support financial planning.
• Prepare papers and reports for trustees and committees.
• Lead year‑end accounts preparation and coordinate audits.
• Develop finance systems for efficiency.
• Support fundraising and organisational growth initiatives.
