Qualifications

Job description

• The Role: Manage financial operations, including accounting for investments and properties owned, plus year-end accounts preparation for auditors.

• Key Tasks: Handle bookkeeping, payroll, VAT returns, budget preparation, and audit working papers. Ensure accurate BACS payments.

• Property & Investment: Track investment values, quarterly yields, and commercial property rents/service charges.

• Compliance: Monitor and maintain Charity Commission compliance.

• Requirements: Proven accounting/bookkeeping experience (charity sector preferred), year-end/audit preparation skills, and proficient in Excel. Minimum AAT Level 4 ideally. Level 3 may be accepted if there is relevant experience in the Charity sector

• Status and Hours: A part-time role of approximately 4-5 hours a week, working at our office in Budleigh Salterton + attendance at Trust meetings. Some flexibility in working hours. This is a self-employed, contracted role.
