An exciting opportunity has arisen for aChargehandFitterto join our Engineering Team at ourWalkergateDepot inNewcastle upon Tyne.

At Stagecoach North East we operate over 400 vehicles, which connect our passengers across Tyne and Wear and Teesside with our engineering teams playing a fundamental role in ensuring our vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. Our depot atWalkergateis a purpose-built facility and we operate100 buses from there.

The successful candidate will play a key role within our maintenance team to ensure our vehicles are maintained and repaired, so they remain available, roadworthy and reliable for our customers at all times.

This is a shift-based role, with shifts working on an 8 on, 6 off rota (4 days per week) which will be discussed at interview.

A PCV licence is preferred but not essential as training will be provided as required.

NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject is essential.

Salary: Potential to earn £35 - 42k per year with some overtime working.
