An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chargehand Fitter to join our Engineering Team at our Walkergate Depot in Newcastle upon Tyne.

At Stagecoach North East, we operate over 400 vehicles connecting passengers across Tyne and Wear and Teesside. Our engineering teams play a vital role in maintaining our vehicles to the highest standards. Our Walkergate depot is a purpose-built facility from which we operate 100 buses.

The successful candidate will be a key member of our maintenance team, ensuring our vehicles are maintained and repaired, remaining available, roadworthy, and reliable for our customers at all times.

This is a shift-based role on an 8 on, 6 off rota (4 days per week), with shift details to be discussed at interview.

A PCV license is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.

NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject is essential.

Salary: Potential to earn £35,000 - £42,000 per year with overtime.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent.
