An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 paediatric junior sister position 37.5 hours per week.
Successful applicants will join an established paediatric nursing team, working within a designated children's area in the Emergency Department. This is a fully rotational post and will be a shift pattern of days, nights, weekends and public holidays to ensure that there is 24 hour paediatric nursing cover at all times within the Emergency Department.

Job Title: Band 6 sister, Emergency Department. Grade: Band 6. Reports to: ED Department co-ordinator. Accountable to: Matron/Head nurse. Job Purpose: Accountable within the team for ensuring that the standard of nursing care is of a high level, quality being of prime importance. Ensure adherence to agreed Trust policies. Primarily to provide emergency nursing to children and their families attending A&E and to support provision of care to all client groups. Provide support to the junior nursing team providing clinical/safeguarding supervision.
